Unlocking Passive Income the Biblical Way.
Hello there, I hope you're all doing well!
So, have you ever explored the realm of passive income? It's been circulating around the YouTube community and beyond. I discovered this concept a few years ago, and what a ride it has been! I've been absorbing up knowledge and working hard to build passive income streams. And you know what? It's paid off—my personal income has increased over the years. In addition, I've had the pleasure of assisting others in increasing their earnings.
Now, let's take a look at passive income from a biblical perspective. Isn't it remarkable that even Jesus, before entering full-time ministry, ran his own business? And Apostle Paul, one of the most committed characters in ministry, was running a successful tent-making business in addition to his spiritual pursuits. It makes you wonder why we limit ourselves to adding an extra source of income. And why are we happy with only one source? In my opinion, we all should have multiple sources of Income and it's biblical!
A well-known a billionaire recently advised working 70 hours per week, causing quite an uproar. While I understand where they're coming from, I believe in working smarter, not harder. Sure, give your all during your 40-45 hours at your main job, but why not explore those extra 20-plus hours? That's an excellent time to dabble in side projects or perhaps establish an online business. Even a tiny increase in income, such as 5%, can make a significant effect. Begin small, aim for 5%, and then watch it grow month by month or year by year.
I've witnessed firsthand how putting in those extra hours can pay off significantly. Sure, it's a grind, and it may require sacrificing some movie time or socializing with friends. But, hey, if money was simple, we'd all be swimming in it, right?
Let's look over the Bible to see what knowledge it has on this topic. One of my favorite verses in the Bible is in the book of Ecclesiastes chapter 11 verses 1-6.

Passive income gives people hope in today's unsure financial world. You make money with little work, so you can enjoy life and still make money. It's even written in the Bible for people who go to church. Let's look at Ecclesiastes 11:1-6 to see how the Bible can help us make money and be smart about money.
"Cast your bread upon the waters, for you will find it after many days." Read Ecclesiastes 11:1.
This verse encourages prudent investment, regardless of how dangerous it may appear. Our investments may seem like a leap of faith at times, but we can be positive that they will pay off in the end. The key is to have faith that God will supply abundantly, and to diversify our sources of income.
"Give a portion to seven, or even to eight, for you know not what disaster may happen on earth." (Ecclesiastes 11:2)
This verse emphasizes the need of diversification. Not all of your eggs should be placed in one basket. Your investments should be spread out so that you may protect yourself from unforeseen catastrophes. A stable financial situation can be achieved by diversifying one's sources of income, whether it be through stocks, rental properties, or online business.
"If the clouds are full of rain, they empty themselves on the earth, and if a tree falls to the south or to the north, in the place where the tree falls, there it will lie." (Ecclesiastes 11:3)
Patience and perseverance are lessons provided by this passage. Passive income follows the same natural cycles as rain and vegetation. A steady effort over time yields better results. So, keep moving forward steadily, for your efforts will be rewarded at the proper moment.
"He who observes the wind will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap." (Ecclesiastes 11:4)
This verse serves as a warning: do not be afraid. If you wait for everything to be just right, you can lose out on some great possibilities. Make smart moves and make the most of the opportunity. Trust that God will reward your sacrifices.
"As you do not know the way the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a woman with child, so you do not know the work of God who makes everything." (Ecclesiastes 11:5)
It is God's sovereignty that is emphasized in this verse. We are unable to foretell monetary results in the same way that we are unable to decipher the secrets of life. Keep your faith and ask God to direct your financial choices. He has a plan.
"In the morning sow your seed, and at evening withhold not your hand, for you do not know which will prosper, this or that, or whether both alike will be good." Reading Ecclesiastes 11:6
Lastly, this passage suggests to be consistent and proactive. Maintain your investment in your passive income enterprises like a farmer tends to his crops all night long. Have faith that God will reward your endeavors, regardless of how quickly or slowly they bear fruit.
Trusting in God's provision and practicing stewardship are central to the biblical teachings on passive income. You can confidently begin your journey to financial freedom by following the wisdom of Ecclesiastes 11:1-6. Keep planting the seeds of good financial stewardship, diversify your investments, be patient and persistent, take prudent risks, and have faith in God's plan. Doing so will allow you to be a good steward of God's resources while also unlocking the benefits of passive income.
