The Power of One Yes: Transforming Generations Through Faith
Hey there, beloved people of God! I hope you're all having a fantastic week so far. As we immerse ourselves in this holy week, it's a perfect time to pause and ponder the incredible significance of the sacrifice made by Jesus on the cross.
This week holds a special place in our hearts as we reflect on the profound impact of that one act of love. It's amazing to think about how a single "yes" from Jesus paved the way for you, me, and countless generations to come.
In Romans Chapter 5 verses 18 and 19, the Bible says 'Yes, Adam’s one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ’s one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone. ''Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous. This paints a vivid picture of how one act of righteousness can spark a chain reaction of goodness. It's like throwing a pebble into a pond and watching the ripples spread far and wide. Jesus' obedience wasn't just for His own sake; it was for all of us. His "yes" opened the door to salvation and transformation for countless generations to come.
And speaking of generations, let's take a look at Jesus' family tree. Each person who aligned themselves with God's purpose played a crucial role in the grand story of redemption. From Abraham to Mary, their "yeses" laid the foundation for the salvation of future generations. It's a powerful reminder that our choices today can shape the destiny of those yet to come.
But it's not just ancient history. The ripple effect of faith is alive and well in our own lives. Take my spiritual father, Pastor Vijay Belola, for example. It was the voice of God that moved my father to leave behind the things that were comfortable for him and to enter the ministry on a full-time basis. Without any hesitation, he decided to put his faith in God's plan and establish a church that would be devoted to assisting the people who lived in the city of Mumbai, Today after 12 years HISNearness Mumbai campus has changed the lives of many I'm one of living testament whos lives has been impacted and changed forever because of one man's YES!
Through my dad's ministry, people have found hope, healing, and salvation. Their stories stand as a testament to the incredible impact of saying "yes" to God's call. Whether it's through full-time ministry or everyday acts of obedience, every affirmative choice has the power to shape the destiny of future generations. In the book of Proverbs, chapter 16, verse 3, it is written that 'Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed." God faithfully directs and builds our paths for His glory when we commit ourselves to align with the purpose that God has for us and when we answer His call.
As a reminder that our answer to God's call is never in vain, the testimony of my father and the countless others who have followed in his footsteps serves as an example. In the course of our journey through Holy Week, let us make it a point to internalize the lesson that Jesus' unwavering affirmation and the various inspirational examples of faithfulness that are all around us. I pray that we experience the inspiration to answer yes to the call that God has placed on our lives and to have faith in His plan to bring about a transformation and redemption that is beyond our wildest expectations.
We should keep in mind the words that are found in Isaiah chapter 6 verse 8: "Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, 'Whom shall I send? Who will be willing to go for us? 'Here I am,' I continued to say. Send me it!'" In the same way that Isaiah boldly declared, may we readily respond to the call of God, knowing that our obedience has the potential to alter the path that history takes and bring glory to His name for future generations.
