Do you like bikes?

Faith on Wheels

Hi friends! I hope this message finds you well and full of hope.

Let me ask you something: Do you like bikes? Not the kind you pedal, but the ones that roar to life with a twist of the throttle. Motorbikes have a unique charm—freedom, adventure, and, as I’ve recently discovered, inspiration for faith.

A New Kind of Ride

A few months ago, my church started a small Telegram group for biking enthusiasts. At first, the idea seemed simple: early morning rides for fun and fellowship. But as we got rolling—quite literally—we realized these rides were about something much deeper.

Our dear Man of God Apostle Priji had a brilliant suggestion. He proposed that we take our bikes out between 3 to 5 AM for a purpose beyond the usual: prayer. The inspiration? A story from the book of Nehemiah, chapter 2, verses 11-15.

Nehemiah’s Night Mission

In this passage, Nehemiah rode out at night—on a donkey, no less—to inspect the broken walls of Jerusalem. The city was in ruins, and he felt a burden to rebuild it. In the stillness of the night, without distractions, Nehemiah prayed, observed, and sought God’s guidance.

Our Apostle told us, “Think of your bike as the modern-day donkey. Use it to do what Nehemiah did—cover your city in prayer.” That thought resonated deeply with me.

From Routine to Revival

Our first ride in November was extraordinary. We rode through the city while it was asleep, stopping at key areas to pray for God’s presence, protection, and revival. The experience was humbling.

Just like Nehemiah, we weren’t inspecting physical ruins, but we were spiritually interceding for brokenness—praying for healing, restoration, and hope. The quiet streets became our sanctuary, and our bikes carried not just us, but our prayers.

Faith in the Darkness

One thing about Nehemiah’s journey stood out to me: he moved in faith through the darkness. Without modern lights or clear pathways, he trusted God to guide him.

That’s what these rides have taught me—to trust God even when the way forward isn’t clear. Whether it’s a literal ride or a metaphorical journey in life, faith often requires us to step out, even when we can’t see the whole picture.

Action: IT!

Over the past two months, we’ve felt God’s presence in powerful ways, leading us to new levels of faith and purpose.

Now, I’m not saying you need to start a biking group. (I'm also saying please start a group in whichever city you belong to😄)But what if you found your own way to step out in faith and make a difference in your community? Maybe it’s a quiet prayer walk.

The key is to take that step, trusting that God will meet you there. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope it inspires you to embark on your own “ride”—whatever that looks like for you. If this blog blessed you, share it with someone who might need encouragement today.

And if you’re a fellow biker based in Bangalore, consider joining us for a ride.

Stay blessed, stay safe, and happy riding!
