Comfort for God's people
““Comfort, comfort my people,” says your God.” Isaiah 40:1 NLT
The Lord gives comfort to his people. The great I AM, the creator of heaven and earth, is not silent when we are distressed but comes to us as a father/mother with care and consolation, and penetrates our loneliness with faithful love.
The Lord gives comfort to his people
Sometimes we need to remind ourselves that God is with us in our struggles and will see us through them. This can be especially true when we are facing a difficult situation, or even if we are just feeling a little blue or discouraged. We may feel alone and afraid, but the Lord is always with us. He knows our situation better than anyone else does, and He loves us unconditionally. He cares about every detail of our lives — even when we don't feel like He does!
We don't have to do anything special to receive God's comfort. It comes automatically when we trust Him with everything that concerns us (Jeremiah 29:11). We don't have to ask for it or earn it; He gives it freely to all who come to Him by faith (Romans 5:2; John 3:16). It doesn't matter how long it has been since we've sought His face — His love remains the same (Psalm 86:5).
God wants us to experience His love in every aspect of our lives. He wants us to know that He is near when we're in trouble (Psalm 34:18) and that He will
The Lord God is our Father
He loves us deeply and tenderly. He cares for us and provides for our needs. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11).
In times of hardship or tragedy, we can often feel alone or forgotten by God. But he does not forget us! During these difficult times we must learn how to comfort ourselves with God's love and grace.
How can we comfort ourselves?
We can comfort ourselves by knowing that God loves us unconditionally – because of who he is and what he has done on behalf of his people. He doesn't love us because we are good or because we deserve it; he loves us because he is good and he has done so many wonderful things for us. He loves us because he wants to show kindness toward his creation. And because he loves us so much, he doesn't want anyone to be lost forever in hell – which is why Jesus came into this world and died on the cross for our sins so that we could be saved.
The glory of the Lord shall be revealed
The word comfort means "to strengthen or encourage." It also means "to console," "to make happy" or "to relieve of grief." This is exactly what God promises to do because He is a loving Father who cares about each one of us. He wants us to be at peace in our hearts and minds.
Why would God do such a thing? Because He loves us! It's His nature to love; and although we can't always understand why He allows certain things to happen in our lives, we can be assured that He knows what is best for us. We may wonder why He doesn't answer our prayers or give us what we want when we ask for it; but when you think about it, it isn't any different than when you are raising children. As parents, sometimes we have to deny them something they want because it isn't good for them — even though they don't like it at the time! In the same way, when God withholds something from
We can rest in the knowledge that we are cared for by the Lord our God.
The Lord God is our Father, and he has not left us alone to fend for ourselves. He cares for us, and he will care for us always. He will watch over us and guide us through every moment of our lives.
I pray that this blog blesses you.!!
